Studies
2001: PhD in
physical oceanography
at McGill university
in Montréal.
Supervisors: Charles A. Lin.,
David N. Straub.
The thesis is about Ocean Modelling, how to get the maximum
accuracy in complex geometries using various
numerical methods:
Finite Differences,
Finite Elements,
Finite Volumes,
Spectral Elements,
for the Shallow Water
and Quasi-Geostrophic models.

Research and work experiences
2001-2003: Postdoc NSERC visiting fellowship at BIO,
Dartmouth, under the supervision of David Greenberg
and Charles Hannah in coastal oceanography.
Topics include: Development of a tidal assimilation
system for the northwest Atlantic and comparison with
existing data. A baroclinic study of the variability
of the Slope Water from POP model output.
Research and Teaching assistant at McGill since 1996. Details.
1994-1995: Research engineer during my military service at
the fluid mechanic laboratory, ENSTA (Ecole des
Techniques avancées, Paris). Presentation of the results at
"les Journées de l'hydrodynamique", Rouen, France, 1995.
1993: Three month in the Netherlands, in Wageningen in the MARIN reserch
center. Validation project of a software forecasting the manoeuvrability of
heavy vessels.
1991 et 1992, two summer jobs at Océ-Graphics, France,
in the Marketing department. The firm builds large scale printers.
